Construction Project Director

About the role

The partner company seeks a Construction Project Director based in Germany to lead large‑scale, high‑value construction projects across Europe. This senior position combines strategic oversight, operational execution, and client engagement, with a strong focus on building envelope works such as roofing, cladding and façade.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to multidisciplinary construction teams, ensuring operational excellence and profitability.
• Oversee end‑to‑end delivery of projects, from planning and resource allocation to execution and handover.
• Develop detailed project programmes, critical paths, milestones and resource strategies for multiple European sites.
• Coordinate logistics, workforce planning, permits and HSE compliance for international projects.
• Ensure compliance with design specifications, quality standards, safety regulations and contractual obligations.
• Lead client and stakeholder engagement, maintaining clear communication throughout project lifecycles.
• Monitor and mitigate commercial and operational risks, escalating issues as needed.
• Document site progress, reporting and governance to support senior‑level decision making.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of senior‑level experience in construction project management or leadership within roofing, cladding, façade or related building‑envelope sectors.
• Degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, Construction Science or an equivalent technical discipline.
• Proven track record of delivering medium to large‑scale projects across multiple sites or regions.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and profitability.
