Construction Technician – Gigafactory Berlin Brandenburg

About the role

As a Construction Technician at the Gigafactory Berlin‑Brandenburg, you will support the construction team in delivering large‑scale projects that enable Tesla’s mission of sustainable energy. You will work on a fast‑paced, high‑performance environment, handling a wide range of hands‑on tasks across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Perform construction activities throughout the Gigafactory to support project completion.
• Escalate issues to the construction team promptly.
• Carry out mechanical assembly, welding, and plumbing of water connections.
• Install air connections, pneumatic piping, and perform steel measurements.
• Manage transport, logistics, and unloading of heavy equipment and materials.
• Relocate existing machines, tools, production lines, and storage areas.
• Assemble and disassemble partition walls, fencing, and other protective structures according to documentation.
• Paint steel structures and mineral surfaces.
• Install lintels, foil curtains, and tarpaulins.
• Operate forklifts, cranes, telehandlers (Manitou), scissor lifts, claw boosters, and spider cranes.

Required profile

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a cross‑functional organization with tight timelines and aggressive goals.
• Flexibility to work weekends and night shifts.
• Strong teamwork orientation to execute construction activities effectively.
• Capability to read and interpret technical drawings and follow standards.
