Content Manager – Lead Multidisciplinary Content Team

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Content Manager to lead a multidisciplinary content organization in Germany. You will shape the way content, social media, design, and CMS operations work together to deliver high‑quality outputs that align with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Content department, aligning priorities with the broader business strategy.
• Define, enforce and monitor KPIs, goals and accountability frameworks for individuals and the team.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations, ensuring visibility over workloads, priorities and delivery timelines across multiple creative streams.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement workflow improvements.
• Drive people‑management processes including performance reviews, coaching, development plans and career progression.
• Support hiring, onboarding, team adjustments and off‑boarding as needed.
• Represent the Content team in cross‑functional planning and decision‑making discussions.
• Monitor performance data and team feedback to continuously refine processes and enhance output quality.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 + years of experience in team leadership, people management or department management.
• Background in content, marketing, social media, design or other creative‑driven environments with an understanding of CMS and content production workflows.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proven ability to lead performance‑management processes and develop teams.
• Excellent decision‑making, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Ability to balance empathy, structure and decisiveness when managing people.
