Contract Manager – Green Hydrogen & Electrolyser Projects

About the role

The client seeks a Contract Manager to support its expanding portfolio of green hydrogen and electrolyser projects based in Dresden. This hybrid position focuses on commercial contract management, claims handling, change orders, and contractual support across complex industrial and energy projects.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assess commercial project contracts, identifying risks, obligations and key contractual requirements.
• Support contract negotiations with clients, suppliers and project stakeholders.
• Advise project teams on contractual interpretation throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Manage change orders, contract amendments, addenda and variations.
• Prepare, defend and negotiate claims where required.
• Monitor project performance against contractual obligations, milestones, deliverables and payment terms.
• Identify contractual deviations, disputes or commercial exposure early to support risk mitigation.
• Coordinate with legal, finance and procurement teams to ensure smooth contract execution and administration.
• Contribute to the improvement and implementation of contract management tools, processes and templates.

Required profile

• Degree in business, engineering, commercial management, law or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in contract management and/or claims management within complex project environments.
• Background in Energy, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Hydrogen or Renewables sectors.
• Strong understanding of commercial contracts, project delivery risks, variations and claims.
• Structured, proactive and able to work independently in a fast‑paced project environment.
• Fluent German and English language skills.
