Control Systems Engineer – Structural Tests

About the role

Join Airbus Operations in Hamburg as a Control Systems Engineer supporting the Structures Test department. You will work on both office and laboratory activities, contributing to the validation of new aircraft designs through state‑of‑the‑art test control technology.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and configure advanced control systems for aircraft structural test rigs using commercial technology.
• Install, commission and optimise controllers to enable fast and reliable test execution.
• Create load profiles for static and fatigue tests and ensure accurate load introduction.
• Manage subcontracted electrical installation activities and maintain quality documentation.
• Develop and validate new control‑system algorithms in collaboration with European Airbus sites.

Required profile

• Proven experience in control‑system engineering for structural testing.
• Familiarity with static and fatigue test procedures on aircraft specimens.
• Ability to work on‑site in an international, multilingual environment.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
