Controller – Finance & Operations Partner

About the role

Gruse Maschinenbau GmbH, a specialist lift‑table manufacturer in Aerzen, is looking for a hands‑on Controller to support financial performance and operational excellence across its European business. Reporting to the EMEA Finance Director in Sweden, you will act as a trusted partner to local management and international stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and provide high‑quality insights to local and group management.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, long‑term financial planning and KPI tracking.
• Own inventory accounting, valuation, obsolescence and turnover metrics.
• Develop and maintain product costing models to support pricing and margin optimisation.
• Partner with production and operations to improve efficiency and cost structure.
• Strengthen internal controls, streamline the close cycle and support the upcoming Syteline ERP implementation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of production flows, inventory management and costing.
• Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) and willingness to travel up to 10%.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, data analysis).
• Experience with ERP system implementation (Syteline or similar).
