Controlling Internship – Business Unit Strategy & Digitalization

About the role

This mandatory internship focuses on controlling within a Business Unit, supporting short‑, medium‑ and long‑term planning while driving digitalization initiatives. You will work closely with the Business Unit strategy team and gain hands‑on experience in cost evaluation, profitability analysis, and process automation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in short‑, medium‑ and long‑term business planning for the Business Unit.
• Conduct cost evaluations and profitability analyses of the product portfolio.
• Own a digitalization project using Power Automate, IBM Planning Analytics and advanced Excel to improve efficiency.
• Develop data‑driven recommendations for management based on cost analyses.
• Support a global restructuring project involving multiple plants and functions worldwide.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a university program in Business Administration, Business Informatics or a comparable field.
• Strong ability to work independently and manage data‑driven tasks reliably.
• Quick learner with the capacity to apply new software and database tools.
• Fluent in English or German (very good).
• Willingness to work in a hybrid setup (minimum 2 days on‑site per week).

Required skills

• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Power Automate.
• Familiarity with IBM Planning Analytics.
