Corporate Communications Director – Frankfurt

About the role

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Corporate Communications Director to lead communications across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Based in Frankfurt, you will work closely with senior management and the EMEA corporate communications team to shape the firm’s reputation and media presence.

Key responsibilities

• Support the media relations strategy to raise the firm and business‑unit profiles.
• Manage public perception of business‑critical issues and refine core messaging.
• Create content such as articles, press releases and other collateral materials.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key financial and business journalists.
• Serve as the primary media contact for German media outlets.
• Implement and enforce firm media policy and procedures.
• Collaborate with the internal communications team in London to enhance internal communications programmes in Germany.
• Provide local brand, sponsorship and advertising support in conjunction with Marketing, and offer marketing guidance to the institutional business.
• Support community outreach and philanthropic programmes with Community Affairs.

Required profile

• Approximately 5+ years of media‑relations experience, preferably in a similar corporate communications role.
• Solid understanding of the financial services industry, ideally with experience in banking, professional services or law firms.
• Proven ability to work with bankers to shape corporate and business‑unit agendas with the media.
• Experience developing and maintaining relationships with journalists.
