Creative Strategist, Growth Marketing

About the role

As the Creative Strategist for Germany, you will drive Canva’s paid and organic marketing performance in the region. Working at the crossroads of data, storytelling and cultural insight, you will shape creative concepts that resonate with German audiences and fuel user growth.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full creative cycle – from research and briefing to production, editing and performance analysis.
• Analyse dashboards, identify winning assets, diagnose under‑performance and design creative tests, lift studies and attribution experiments.
• Define high‑performing creative for paid and organic social on Meta, TikTok, Instagram and emerging platforms, building content systems informed by data and local cultural moments.
• Brief and review UGC and creator content to ensure brand alignment and platform optimisation.
• Collaborate with in‑house teams and external agencies, partnering with media buyers, data scientists, the Europe Growth Marketing Lead and other stakeholders.
• Support conversion‑rate optimisation initiatives across the acquisition funnel.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in creative strategy or performance marketing, with a proven track record of delivering results.
• Deep understanding of platform‑native formats and rigorous testing methodology.
• Strong knowledge of the German market, cultural nuances and consumer behaviour.
• Self‑directed, collaborative and accountable for outcomes.
