Customer Success Manager - Agriculture

About the role

Root is Europe’s #1 primary data collection platform for food & beverage companies, helping customers measure and reduce farm‑level emissions. As a Customer Success Manager – Agriculture you will own a portfolio of agricultural customers, guiding them through onboarding, data collection and reporting to maximise value and advocacy.

Key responsibilities

• Own the success of a defined customer portfolio, acting as primary point of contact and trusted advisor through onboarding, data collection, verification, reporting and reduction readiness.
• Plan, manage and execute customer projects end‑to‑end, driving data coverage at scale, ensuring high data quality and on‑time delivery.
• Design and run farmer‑facing enablement such as digital webinars to improve participation and data quality.
• Collaborate with Account Management and Product teams to relay feedback, build trust‑based relationships and translate farming needs into product recommendations.

Required profile

• Agricultural background – practical farm experience, agricultural studies or work with agricultural users (advisors, cooperatives).
• Hands‑on, detail‑oriented and able to thrive in a fast‑changing early‑stage environment, juggling multiple tasks.
• First experience in Customer Success, Operations or similar customer‑facing roles.
• People‑centric, proactive, empathetic and clear communicator focused on customer outcomes.
• Fluent in German and English; additional languages a plus.

• Proficiency with Excel and digital platforms for data handling.
