Cyber Defense Expert – Threat Detection & Response

About the role

Delos Cloud is building Germany’s only sovereign Azure cloud for the public sector. As a Cyber Defense Expert you will join the Security Operations Center (SOC) to protect this critical platform against advanced threats and support the nation’s digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the Delos Cloud platform for security threats and perform triage of alerts.
• Coordinate incident response actions to mitigate advanced persistent threats.
• Optimize detection rules, response playbooks and overall SOC processes.
• Conduct forensic investigations, malware analysis and reverse‑engineering when required.
• Perform proactive threat hunting across the cloud environment.
• Develop and continuously improve detection logic.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in a SOC or similar environment.
• Proven expertise in security monitoring, alert triage and incident response.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Solid knowledge of all listed security domains and advanced expertise in at least two (e.g., Incident Response, Digital Forensics, Threat Hunting, Detection Engineering, Malware Analysis).
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 on‑call rotation.
