Data Scientist – Operations & Optimization

About the role

As a Data Scientist in Operations at FINN, you will drive the optimisation of the company’s operational infrastructure. You will build forecasting and optimisation models that predict capacity needs, improve resource distribution and support data‑driven decision‑making across the logistics network.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse operational data to uncover patterns, capacity dynamics and resource utilisation.
• Develop and validate proof‑of‑concepts for new operational strategies.
• Design, implement and maintain forecasting and optimisation models using machine learning and operations‑research techniques.
• Translate analytical insights into actionable recommendations for the operations team.
• Collaborate with data, engineering and operations stakeholders in cross‑functional projects.

Required profile

• Proactive problem‑solver with a strong interest in logistics and operational complexity.
• Experience applying data science methods to real‑world operational challenges.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to non‑technical audiences.
