About the role

MiraMira is building the future of women’s hormonal health with quantitative hormone‑tracking technology. As the founding Data Scientist, you will define and implement the algorithmic core that turns complex hormonal data into actionable product features for millions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Define the research agenda, including what metrics to measure and why.
• Design, develop, and deploy production‑ready machine‑learning models that interpret longitudinal hormonal, wearable, and biomarker data.
• Apply model interpretability techniques (e.g., SHAP, LIME) to ensure transparent, explainable outputs.
• Validate models rigorously, handling missing data, preventing leakage, and testing robustness across diverse user segments.
• Translate analytical insights into user‑facing features, metrics, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with the Head of R&D and cross‑functional teams, communicating findings to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Lay the groundwork for scaling the data‑science function and eventually lead a dedicated team.

Required profile

• Strong Python and data‑science expertise; SQL experience preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with longitudinal, time‑series, health, wearable, or biomarker datasets.
• Proficiency with model interpretability tools such as SHAP and LIME.
• Background in consumer health, digital health, wearables, diagnostics, or medical‑device software (SaMD/IVD).
• Excellent judgment in model validation, missing‑data handling, and performance evaluation across user segments.
• Ability to turn data insights into product features and business decisions.
• Effective communication with both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• High ownership, comfort with ambiguity, and startup speed.
