DevOps / Cloud Engineer (AWS)

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps / Cloud Engineer to join our Flight Operations team in Berlin. You will work on cutting‑edge cloud solutions that enable fuel‑efficient aviation, shaping the architecture and operations of our AWS platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously improve the AWS governance model, including account structure, landing zones, IAM, and role‑based access control.
• Build and maintain scalable, secure AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK).
• Own centralized logging, monitoring, alerting and observability across all platform components.
• Strengthen cloud security practices, ensuring least‑privilege access, secure networking and compliance.
• Identify and apply cost‑optimization measures without sacrificing reliability.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for both application and infrastructure delivery.
• Support serverless and cloud‑native workloads, especially AWS Lambda services.
• Create reusable standards, patterns and templates for cloud infrastructure and automation.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, networking, permissions, performance and reliability issues.

Required profile

• Strong experience with AWS services and governance concepts.
• Proven ability to work with Infrastructure as Code tools such as CloudFormation or CDK.
• Hands‑on experience building CI/CD pipelines and supporting serverless architectures.
• Solid understanding of cloud security, cost management and multi‑region design.
• Ability to collaborate with software engineering teams and document technical solutions.
