DevOps Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure & Automation

About the role

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join Halon’s technology team. You will own the design, scaling and operation of the infrastructure that powers our secure email services, ensuring high availability for customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain high availability and reliability of production systems.
• Design, build and scale infrastructure to meet growing demand.
• Automate operational processes and improve system efficiency.
• Operate and continuously improve the production environment, including on‑call rotation.
• Analyze incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and implement long‑term fixes.
• Evaluate and prototype new technologies.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to support new features.
• Document systems and processes clearly.

Required profile

• 5+ years of Linux system administration experience, preferably Debian.
• Hands‑on experience with complex, distributed environments.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and willingness to learn.
• Good communication skills and experience working in international teams.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.
