DevOps Engineer – Modern Workplace

About the role

This fully remote position is focused on driving large‑scale modern workplace transformation for a German‑based partner. You will work at the intersection of DevOps, infrastructure engineering, and digital workplace technologies, delivering secure, automated, and cloud‑native end‑user computing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and support Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops, and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Manage endpoint management platforms such as Intune, SCCM/MECM, and Azure AD (Entra ID).
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub, embedding DevSecOps practices.
• Create automation and scripting solutions (PowerShell or similar) to improve scalability and reliability.
• Support cloud migration and workplace modernization initiatives across complex enterprise environments.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional, international teams using Agile (Scrum, Jira) to deliver infrastructure improvements.
• Ensure secure, stable, high‑performing digital workplace services for large organisations.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in EUC, workplace engineering or modern workplace environments.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop and Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops.
• Proven expertise in Microsoft ecosystem technologies (Intune, SCCM/MECM, Azure AD, Microsoft 365).
• Solid background in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipeline design and automation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills in an international setting.
