DevOps Engineer – Sovereign Cloud Delivery (Germany)

About the role

Join SAP’s Sovereign Cloud organization as a DevOps Engineer focused on cloud delivery in Germany. You will work on production cloud operations for multitenant solutions, ensuring reliability and performance of the SAP Sovereign Cloud landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, monitor, maintain and optimise the SAP Sovereign Cloud system landscape for Germany.
• Set up multi‑system architecture and manage integration across heterogeneous technologies.
• Provide on‑call support for incidents, performance degradations and shift‑work coverage.
• Continuously improve implementation documentation and cloud‑operation processes.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance operational workflows.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently on technical issues while collaborating across time zones.
• Solid experience with GitLab, Terraform, Ansible and Linux (SUSE).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and familiarity with Kubernetes, Helm, Python or BASH scripting.
• Intermediate knowledge of hyperscaler services, cloud concepts and databases.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 on‑call environment and maintain daily office presence.
