Director, Deals – Corporate Transformation

About the role

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Director for its Deals practice within the EMEA Corporate Transformation Services team. You will lead transaction‑related transformation projects, working closely with senior client stakeholders, investors and advisors to deliver measurable results.

Key responsibilities

• Project Leadership – guide multidisciplinary teams through acquisition, divestiture and carve‑out engagements.
• Portfolio Measures – develop and evaluate strategic portfolio options for buy‑side and sell‑side transactions.
• Carve‑out & Separation Management – oversee separation planning, Day‑1 readiness, TSA management and standalone operating model implementation.
• Post‑Merger Integration – identify synergies, create integration roadmaps, establish governance and run integration management offices.
• Strategic Portfolio Transformation – advise Boards and C‑suite executives on portfolio optimization, capital allocation and value‑creation opportunities.

Required profile

• Excellent university degree with strong analytical capabilities.
• Several years of experience at a leading international consultancy; industry experience is a plus.
• Deep knowledge of M&A‑focused transformation projects, including carve‑outs, post‑merger integration and restructuring.
• Proven track record of leading complex workstreams and advising senior management and Boards.
