About the role

Brunswick is expanding its Defence practice and is looking for a Director based in Berlin. The role involves advising C‑suite executives and senior decision‑makers on defence‑related strategy, policy, and financial matters while driving business development.

Key responsibilities

• Strengthen advisory capabilities by engaging with key stakeholders in Berlin, Germany and internationally.
• Build Brunswick’s reputation among senior political and industry leaders through active network participation.
• Represent the firm’s strategic advisory services to clients, partners and media.
• Support a Partner in originating new mandates and advising CEOs, board members and senior corporate leaders.
• Lead large, complex projects independently, delegating work while remaining hands‑on.
• Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to a collaborative culture.

Required profile

• Deep expertise in the defence sector with a strong network across government, industry associations and the private sector.
• Proven ability to build and maintain long‑term relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Excellent written and editorial skills, with confidence to engage discreetly with senior decision‑makers.
• Strong understanding of political strategy and capital‑markets dynamics.
