Director, Internal Communications

About the role

We are seeking a Director of Internal Communications to lead the People & Culture team at Delivery Hero. Reporting to the Senior Director, People & Culture, you will shape the corporate narrative, drive alignment and engagement across the organisation and act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Define, own and execute the internal communications strategy and narrative aligned with business priorities.
• Provide executive advisory and crisis support, crafting high‑stakes communication materials and manager enablement toolkits.
• Lead, mentor and develop the Internal Communications team, optimizing operating models, workflows and processes.
• Own major corporate communication touchpoints such as All‑Hands, strategic business updates, people communications and large‑scale transformation topics.
• Establish governance, messaging frameworks and channel strategies (e.g., Slack, All‑Hands) to ensure consistency and transparency.
• Collaborate with External Communications, Employer Branding, HR and Legal to align internal reality with external brand messaging.
• Define and track key success metrics to continuously improve the effectiveness of internal communication channels and campaigns.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in corporate communications, preferably within a large, fast‑moving technology or consumer‑facing organisation.
• Proven ability to act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and to manage communications during complex or crisis situations.
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing a communications team.
• Strong strategic thinking combined with hands‑on execution capability.
