Director of Field Operations

About the role

Lead Orbem’s field operations across Europe and the US, overseeing installation, service and maintenance of multi‑million‑euro MRI systems that are critical to customers’ production lines. You will shape the operating model, drive continuous improvement and build a high‑performing, geographically distributed team.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of installations, on‑site service and scheduled maintenance, ensuring projects are on time, on budget and meet quality standards for assets over €1M.
• Raise SOP maturity, implement continuous‑improvement engines and drive adoption of field‑service management tools, spare‑parts planning and capacity planning.
• Lead and develop Field Engineers, Project Managers and regional leads, designing the organisation, hiring and scaling it to support new verticals and geographies.

Required profile

• 10+ years in field or service operations for complex technical products, with multi‑region leadership experience.
• Hands‑on and strategic mindset: able to design operating models and intervene on site at short notice.
• Proven track record of continuous improvement, technical fluency and senior communication with customers and partners.
• Willingness to travel across Europe and the US and hold an EU Class B driver’s licence; fluent in English.
