Director of Operations – Europe

About the role

We are looking for a senior leader to head our European operations from our Augsburg hub. The Director of Operations will ensure efficient, profitable, and compliant manufacturing across our sites in Germany and the wider region, driving continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational strategies, policies and procedures aligned with the company’s long‑term growth plan.
• Lead cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality results, optimise workflows and improve profitability through process optimisation, productivity gains and supplier management.
• Own the European P&L, monitor margins, control costs and report key performance indicators to senior management.
• Drive operational excellence initiatives such as digital enablement, automation, 5S, health & safety and housekeeping.
• Build, coach and mentor operations teams and leaders, fostering a high‑performance, customer‑centric culture.
• Partner with HR on workforce planning, succession and capability development.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, internal controls and company policies.
• Manage budgets, forecasts and resource allocation to meet financial targets.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in manufacturing or production operations, preferably in a multi‑site, international environment.
• Strong strategic thinking with a track record of delivering cost‑control, margin improvement and operational efficiency.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to collaborate with commercial, finance, HR and global teams.
• Hands‑on approach to continuous improvement, health & safety and quality standards.
