About the role
The Director of Operations will act as the strategic business leader for a hotel property located at Potsdamer Platz 3 in Berlin. Reporting to senior management, this role oversees all core operational departments, ensuring brand standards, guest satisfaction, and financial performance are met.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Recreation/Health Club, and Engineering/Maintenance teams.
- Develop and implement property‑wide operational strategies aligned with the brand’s business objectives.
- Monitor profitability, analyze service issues, and drive corrective actions to meet revenue and cost targets.
- Review financial statements, budgets, and wage reports, coaching department heads to manage expenses and occupancy.
- Champion the brand’s service vision, communicate goals, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure positive owner relations and deliver a guest experience that exceeds expectations.
Required profile
- 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Hotel & Restaurant Management or related field + minimum 4 years relevant experience, OR a 4‑year bachelor’s degree + minimum 2 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales/marketing, or operations management.
- Proven leadership ability in a multi‑department hotel environment.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience in budgeting and revenue management.
