Director of Procurement – Germany & Austria

About the role

We are partnering with a global market‑leading FMCG organisation based in Frankfurt. The company seeks a Director of Procurement to lead a team of four direct reports and drive procurement strategy for Germany and Austria.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute end‑to‑end procurement strategies for direct and indirect materials covering a €50 million spend.
• Define forward‑looking category strategies that support margin expansion and evolving consumer preferences.
• Lead high‑impact supplier negotiations to secure best‑in‑class commercial terms, trading agreements and income streams.
• Deliver sustained gross‑margin growth in line with the 4‑year strategic plan.
• Optimise total supplier value, including rebates, promotional funding and marketing contributions.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to shape pricing strategies and revenue management.
• Drive digital and data‑led transformation by embedding advanced capabilities.
• Build organisational capability through talent development and succession planning.

Required profile

• 10+ years of procurement experience, preferably in FMCG, retail or food & beverage.
• Proven experience managing both direct and indirect procurement categories.
• Previous leadership of procurement teams within a matrix organisation.
• Fluent in English and German.

• Base salary up to €120,000 per year.
