Director, Open Finance Connectivity Operations

About the role

Mastercard is looking for a strategic and technical leader to direct Open Finance Connectivity Operations in Europe. The Director will shape relationships with data providers, drive automation, and ensure scalable, reliable API connections that power innovative financial experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop automated dashboards, provider intelligence frameworks, and service agents to improve connectivity efficiency.
• Manage cross‑market connectivity initiatives and evaluate the impact of new features and use cases.
• Support platform reliability and scalability projects.
• Oversee product teams responsible for building, testing, and maintaining API connections.
• Collaborate with Open Finance product and engineering groups to define business requirements, roadmap, and backlog prioritisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; analytical or technical degree from a top‑tier program preferred.
• Proven product development or product management experience.
• Strong understanding of APIs, Open Banking, Open Finance, and developer ecosystems.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities, comfortable handling ambiguity.
• Demonstrated capability to lead complex, company‑wide projects and influence stakeholders.
• Experience structuring ambiguous problems into clear, actionable steps.
• Track record of working in cross‑functional teams to deliver optimal solutions.
• Effective collaborator and influencer within a matrixed organization.
• Product management experience with consumer‑facing applications or technology services.
