Engineering Manager (All Genders)

About the role

As an Engineering Manager for a core product area at Tradebyte, you will lead a team of 5‑8 engineers building resilient backend services and high‑throughput integrations at scale. You will have technical autonomy to solve complex challenges while fostering a supportive, psychologically safe team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high‑performing software engineering team, ensuring sustainable delivery and technical quality.
• Contribute hands‑on to design and implementation (~40% of time) to support engineers and maintain delivery speed.
• Partner with Product Management to translate customer needs into actionable delivery plans.
• Collaborate to resolve technical and interpersonal challenges early, breaking down complex problems into logical steps.
• Participate in Tradebyte engineering communities, share post‑mortems, and foster knowledge exchange.

Required profile

• Proven track record of leading and coaching high‑performing software engineering teams.
• Strong technical expertise in developing enterprise web applications using Java, Kotlin or Python.
• Comfortable staying technically involved (~40% of time) in design, architecture, or implementation.
• Solid experience with AWS or other cloud platforms, building resilient services.
• Data‑driven decision‑making with ability to balance business value, effort, and technical debt.
• Excellent English communication skills, able to simplify complex technical topics for stakeholders.
