Engineering Specialist – Data Center Infrastructure

About the role

We are looking for an Engineering Specialist to support the operation and reliability of data‑center facilities. The role focuses on electrical and mechanical systems such as UPS, medium‑voltage power, generators, and cooling equipment, ensuring continuous service for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver best‑practice solutions and resolve issues on data‑center electrical and mechanical infrastructure (UPS, MV electrical systems, generators, cooling systems, etc.).
• Maintain the highest safety standards and promote a world‑class safety culture.
• Drive continuous improvement through standardisation of procedures and policies.
• Guarantee 100 % uptime of all customer‑supporting infrastructure.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance for site‑critical facilities.
• Participate in the build‑out and retrofit of data‑center infrastructure projects.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Solid knowledge of electrical theory and key competencies.
• Experience in data‑center engineering.
• Understanding of mechanical systems, HVAC and controls.
• Proficiency in German at B2 level.
• Willingness to work a 24 × 7 schedule when required.
• Ability to work at heights and from ladders.
