Equipment Technician – Equipment Maintenance and Service

About the role

GALAB is seeking an Equipment Technician to ensure the operational readiness of its analytical measuring instruments. You will work in a dynamic laboratory environment, supporting a wide range of food, consumer, and industrial product analyses.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and service analytical equipment such as GC‑MS/MS, LC‑MS/MS, and GC‑MSD.
• Perform minor repairs and coordinate external service technicians for larger interventions.
• Ensure compliance with device specifications and develop measurement sequences.
• Maintain up‑to‑date equipment manuals.
• Act as the primary contact for colleagues in the measurement technology department.

Required profile

• Completed vocational training as a chemical laboratory technician, chemical engineer or a comparable qualification.
• Initial practical experience, for example through internships.
• Knowledge of repair, maintenance and servicing of analytical instruments.
• High affinity for error analysis, manual dexterity and technical understanding.
• Quick comprehension and strong organisational abilities.
