F&DT Stress Engineer – Fuselage (d/f/m)

About the role

Airbus Aerostructures is looking for a F&DT Stress Engineer for Fuselage to support the structural integrity and safety of its aircraft programmes, including the A350XWB, A320 Family and next‑generation aircraft. The role is based at the large Hamburg production site and offers flexible working options.

Key responsibilities

• Create and technically approve analysis models, F&DT calculations, reports and studies for aircraft structures.
• Check and approve internal and external analysis data, providing stress approval of drawing sets and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with airworthiness regulations, design principles, processes and manufacturing guidelines.
• Monitor, guide and support subcontractors performing structural analysis work.
• Validate design inputs for manufacturing drawings and collaborate with design, project and production teams.
• Define, interpret and validate structural tests required for aircraft certification.
• Create, monitor and report on project plans and performance metrics.
• Support digital transformation initiatives within the structural analysis community.

Required profile

• Experience in aircraft structural analysis and stress calculations.
• Ability to work closely with design, production and subcontracting partners.
• Familiarity with airworthiness regulations and certification processes.
