Field IT Support Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Field IT Support Technician to join AVASO Technology’s Site Technology Servicing team in Düsseldorf. The role involves delivering on‑site technical assistance to end‑users and maintaining hardware across multiple locations, ensuring smooth daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, IP phones and video‑conference equipment.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot software and operating systems on end‑user devices and servers.
• Onboard new users by preparing and deploying IT assets, and manage off‑boarding, asset collection and sanitisation.
• Coordinate remote assistance with backend teams for network, server and VPN issues.
• Handle tickets in ServiceNow or similar systems, ensuring SLA compliance.
• Support executive/VIP users and manage office IT asset inventory.
• Collaborate with external vendors and lead on‑site training and documentation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of corporate IT support experience with increasing responsibility.
• Strong customer‑service mindset and ability to work independently.
• Excellent decision‑making skills and ability to prioritise workload based on SLAs.
• Self‑disciplined, highly motivated and capable of leading project support teams.

Required skills

• Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows 10
• ServiceNow or comparable ticketing system
• Active Directory and Microsoft server technologies (DHCP, DNS, file/print services)
• Office 365, SharePoint and Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• VPN configuration and troubleshooting
• Network devices – switches, routers, wireless APs
• IP phone and video‑conference systems
• Multifunction printer support
• Mid‑range server installation and maintenance
