Finance Controller – Strategic Systems Leader

About the role

RobCo is seeking a Finance Controller to lead its accounting operations and drive the adoption of modern financial systems, automation, and AI tools. The role will ensure compliance with German GAAP, IFRS, and US GAAP while building a scalable, systems‑first finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger, month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB), IFRS and US GAAP.
• Coordinate regulatory reporting and manage external audits.
• Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies and procedures.
• Lead selection, implementation and optimisation of ERP and other financial systems.
• Identify and implement automation and AI‑driven solutions for rule‑based accounting tasks.
• Manage and mentor a tech‑savvy accounting team.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and cash‑flow management.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with accurate financial data.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• CPA, CA, German Wirtschaftsprüfer or equivalent professional certification.
• Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB), IFRS and US GAAP.
• Experience leading finance transformation projects and implementing ERP systems.
• Proven ability to manage audits and regulatory reporting.
