Finance Lead (FP&A)

About the role

Prior Labs is building the first foundation model for structured data. As the first dedicated finance hire, you will partner directly with the founders to create the financial backbone of a fast‑growing AI startup.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain the core company financial model covering revenue, costs, cash flow, and P&L.
• Develop and own operational SaaS metrics such as ARR, unit economics, gross margin, burn rate, runway, and retention.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting (annual and rolling), scenario analysis, and sensitivity testing to support strategic decisions.
• Implement spend control, cash discipline, and simple financial controls, providing early warnings when plans deviate.
• Prepare regular financial reports for the board, investors, and parent company, translating data into actionable insights.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial planning & analysis, preferably in a high‑growth technology environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn complex data into clear business recommendations.
• Comfort working closely with founders and senior leadership, taking ownership of finance processes.
