Finance Lead – Startup Climate Tech

About the role

As the first dedicated finance hire at atmio, you will own the entire finance function and play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s financial strategy. You will work closely with the founding team to secure funding, build robust financial models, and ensure the business runs on solid financial footing while contributing to climate‑tech impact.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting, reporting, budgeting and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Prepare and lead the financial aspects of fundraising rounds, including scenario analysis and investor reporting.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decisions.
• Act as the primary finance point of contact across the organization, translating early‑stage processes into scalable structures.
• Collaborate with C‑level executives as a strategic partner on growth priorities.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in finance, controlling or a similar role, preferably in a Series A+ startup.
• Proven track record of participating in fundraising and investor communications.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn numbers into actionable insights.
• Comfortable thriving in fast‑changing environments and taking ownership.
• Fluent in German and English.
