Financial Accountant – Record to Report (France)

About the role

As a Financial Accountant – Record to Report (RTR) for France, you will join Beiersdorf's Global Finance Services in Hamburg. You will own end‑to‑end accounting activities, ensure high‑quality financial reporting, and support tax compliance in an international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform full R2R accounting for France, including journal entries, accruals, deferrals and provisions.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes in line with Group guidelines.
• Prepare and analyse financial statements under IFRS and French GAAP.
• Conduct balance‑sheet reconciliations, variance analysis and maintain strong G/L ownership.
• Handle intercompany reconciliations, transactions and statutory reporting (VAT, CIT, local filings).
• Act as primary contact for external auditors, tax advisors and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, Group policies and local regulations.
• Support process improvement, automation and standardisation initiatives.

Required profile

• Completed professional education in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
• Additional qualification such as ACCA or Certified Accountant is a plus.
• Several years of experience in RTR/General Ledger accounting.
• Fluent in English; French language skills are an advantage.
• High sense of ownership, proactive mindset and ability to work in uncertainty.

Required skills

• SAP FI/CO (mandatory) with knowledge of integrations to MM and SD modules.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and French GAAP.
• Experience with accounting processes, closing, PTP and OTC cycles.
