Financial Controller / Accountant – Banking (m/f/d)

About the role

You will join the Finance Department of Société Générale in Frankfurt, supporting the branch’s controlling and accounting functions within a major international bank.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare regular controlling dashboard updates on NBI and costs, and manage cost allocations and inter‑entity recharges.
• Lead month‑, quarter‑ and year‑end closing activities, ensuring bookings comply with IFRS, French and German GAAP.
• Support transfer pricing processes, including local file preparation and follow‑up of TP agreements.
• Act as a reliable contact point for internal and external auditors.
• Collaborate with shared service centres in Bucharest and Bangalore.
• Participate in accounting and regulatory projects, coordinating progress across teams.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Economics or a comparable field.
• Several years of experience as a controller or accountant in a banking environment.
• Strong knowledge of balance‑sheet analysis and accounting standards (IFRS, HGB).
• Interest in the product range of an internationally operating bank, including trading products.
• Fluent in English; German and French are a plus.
