Financial Controller – AI Robotics Scale-up

About the role

Join a fast‑growing AI‑powered robotics scale‑up in Munich as a Financial Controller. You will lead the finance team, ensure compliance with German and international accounting standards, and drive the adoption of AI‑enabled financial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all general ledger activities and manage month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close cycles.
• Prepare dual GAAP financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS/US GAAP.
• Lead selection, implementation, and optimisation of major ERP and revenue‑recognition systems.
• Identify and implement AI‑driven automation for routine tasks such as reconciliations and invoice processing.
• Mentor a tech‑savvy accounting team, handling payroll, AP/AR, and transactional processing.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and regional banking relationship management.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• CPA, CA, Wirtschaftsprüfer or Bilanzbuchhalter certification.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a controller role.
• Fluent in German and English.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of German GAAP (HGB), IFRS and US GAAP.
• Proven experience with ERP systems such as SAP, NetSuite or Oracle.
• Hands‑on experience with revenue‑recognition tools and AI‑driven financial automation.
