Financial Controller – AI Robotics Scale‑up

About the role

We are a fast‑growing AI‑powered robotics scale‑up seeking a Financial Controller to lead our Munich finance team. You will be responsible for building a world‑class finance function that supports rapid growth while integrating AI‑driven automation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all general‑ledger operations and ensure accurate month‑, quarter‑, and year‑end closes.
• Prepare dual GAAP financial statements in compliance with German HGB, IFRS and US GAAP.
• Lead selection, implementation and optimisation of ERP and revenue‑recognition systems.
• Identify and deploy AI‑based solutions for routine tasks such as reconciliations and invoice processing.
• Mentor a tech‑savvy accounting team, overseeing payroll, AP/AR and other transactional processes.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and regional banking relationships.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• CPA, CA, Wirtschaftsprüfer or Bilanzbuchhalter certification.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a controller role.
• Professional fluency in German and English.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS/US GAAP.
• Hands‑on experience with major ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, Oracle).
• Proven ability to implement AI‑driven automation tools.
