Financial Risk Management Project Manager

About the role

The Manager will lead consulting engagements for financial risk management clients, overseeing a small team of internal and client resources. Reporting directly to the executive team, the role combines project coordination, data governance, and regulatory expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, plan, coordinate and verify deliverables on customer engagements, assigning team members accordingly.
• Manage project data, budgets and timelines to meet strict expectations.
• Collaborate with business‑unit and IT sponsors to define goals, success criteria and risk assessments.
• Oversee funding, architecture alignment and overall IT strategy compliance.
• Create realistic project plans with stakeholder buy‑in and deliver status reports.
• Lead projects involving data‑warehouse, ETL and reporting systems, and support transition and warranty phases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Financial Mathematics or a related field.
• At least three years of experience in a financial risk consulting role.
• Knowledge of financial regulatory standards such as IFRS 9, IFRS 17 and CECL.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAS software for mathematical modeling and reporting.
• Experience with ETL processes and data‑warehouse environments.
