Forensics Consultant

About the role

The Forensics Consultant will guide clients through forensic data collection, processing and analysis across PCs, mobile devices, servers and cloud environments. Acting as a subject‑matter expert, you will support both external clients and internal stakeholders at Lineal, delivering high‑quality digital investigations.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Forensic & Evidence Handling teams to meet client expectations and support daily lab operations.
• Perform forensically sound data collection from a wide range of systems, including PCs, servers, networks, webmail, social media and Office 365.
• Own forensic projects from start to finish, leading investigations and delivering findings.
• Communicate and consult with clients face‑to‑face and through other channels on best practices and industry standards.
• Work with internal business units to ensure high levels of client success and satisfaction.

Required profile

• Degree in Forensics, Computer Science or a related field.
• Industry‑recognized certifications such as ACE, EnCE, CCPA, CCME or CISSP.
• Minimum 2 years experience in digital forensics or eDiscovery, preferably with client‑facing exposure.
• Proven experience conducting forensic collections from PCs, servers, networks, webmail, social media and Office 365.
• Willingness to travel globally on short notice.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with forensic tools: FTK, EnCase, Cellebrite, Caine, DEFT.
• Familiarity with eDiscovery processes and the EDRM model.
• Experience with processing and review platforms such as Nuix, Relativity and Intella (desired).
• Strong technical knowledge of hardware and software across multiple platforms.
