Founding Designer (Code‑First / 100% Remote)

About the role

neoBIM is building an AI‑powered construction platform and needs a founding designer who will own the product’s visual language and design system from day one. The role is fully remote and focuses on creating UI directly in code, eliminating the traditional design‑to‑hand‑off gap.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement a code‑first design system using shadcn/ui, including tokens, variants, modes, responsive behavior, and accessibility.
• Prototype UI components directly in React with AI assistance (Claude), ensuring designs are immediately buildable.
• Design the entire product surface, from 3D canvas controls to dashboards, onboarding flows, and property panels.
• Create or art‑direct iconography and illustrations to maintain a consistent visual language.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, turning hand‑off into a lightweight code review process.
• Shape brand and marketing visuals as the company scales.

Required profile

• Designer who thinks in systems and understands software constraints.
• Comfortable working in HTML, CSS, and React, and not intimidated by terminal or component files.
• Experience with 3D, spatial, or canvas‑based interfaces (e.g., tools like Blender, Rhino, SketchUp, Cinema 4D, Spline).
• Ability to translate design intent directly into production‑ready code.
