Founding Engineer – Full‑Stack Developer

About the role

As one of the first engineering hires at Sleak AI, you will help build a cutting‑edge AI‑powered sales‑training platform. You will work directly with the founders, own critical parts of the product stack, and shape both the technology and the engineering culture from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain core features across frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
• Lead the implementation of AI‑driven simulation logic, scoring workflows, and conversation pipelines.
• Take ideas from concept through prototype to production with high velocity.
• Collaborate with founders on product decisions, technical strategy, and customer feedback.
• Establish best practices for testing, code quality, security, and documentation.
• Build internal tools to accelerate content creation, scenario building, and onboarding.
• Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability as usage grows.
• Help recruit, mentor, and grow the future engineering team.

Required profile

• 2–5+ years of full‑stack engineering experience, preferably in early‑stage startups.
• Product‑obsessed mindset with a focus on user experience.
• Comfort with ambiguity, proactive ownership, and resourcefulness.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with founders and customers.
• Availability to work at least three days per week from the Munich office.

Required skills

• Modern frontend framework – preferably Next.js.
• Backend development with Node.js and Python.
• Relational databases – PostgreSQL.
• Design and consumption of REST APIs.
• Cloud infrastructure experience – preferably Azure.
• Hands‑on use of AI‑powered coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code).
