Founding Engineer

About the role

Zentio builds adaptive, self‑optimising production planning software for European factories. As a Founding Engineer you will own problems end‑to‑end, ship features across the full stack and help shape the technical direction of the product.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and ship end‑to‑end features using React UI, REST/tRPC services, Postgres and containerised environments.
• Design, evolve and optimise Postgres schemas, migrations, indexing and query performance.
• Build and extend integrations with ERP, MES and SCADA systems, exposing scheduling constraints via clean APIs.
• Instrument, test and monitor shipped code to ensure reliability and performance.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in React, including complex UI patterns, state management and DOM manipulation.
• Solid experience with TypeScript and API design for REST and tRPC.
• Deep understanding of Postgres schema modelling, migrations, indexing and query tuning.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker and Docker Compose; familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure).
• Clear, direct communication and a good eye for web UI quality.
