Founding Software Engineer

About the role

We are a fast‑growing Y‑Combinator‑backed AI SaaS startup that is reinventing motion design. As the first engineering hire, you will work directly with the founders to build the core platform that turns hours‑long animation workflows into minutes‑long experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the founding team to deliver user‑centric product features from concept through production.
• Design and implement full‑stack, scalable features using TypeScript, React.js and Next.js.
• Build and optimise agentic LLM systems, including tool‑calling, multi‑step reasoning and MCP protocols.
• Create comprehensive LLM evaluation frameworks with automated benchmarks, human‑in‑the‑loop validation and A/B testing.
• Improve LLM inference performance, cost efficiency and latency across multiple model architectures.
• Develop a high‑performance motion‑graphics engine and guide architectural decisions for a user base scaling to millions.

Required profile

• 2+ years of software engineering experience with solid CS fundamentals.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript (mandatory).
• Hands‑on experience building or integrating large language models.
• Track record of delivering end‑to‑end full‑stack features with scalable architecture.
• Prior startup or early‑stage experience and an ownership mindset.
• Legal right to work in Germany and willingness to work onsite in Berlin.
