Freelance Art Director

About the role

We are seeking a Freelance Art Director to join our remote creative team in Germany. You will shape visually compelling, performance‑driven campaigns across social, digital, video, print and experiential channels, while exploring AI‑powered tools to boost ideation and production.

Key responsibilities

• Conceptualise and design high‑impact creative campaigns for social media, digital ads, video, email, landing pages and other marketing channels.
• Develop and adapt assets for print, out‑of‑home, broadcast and multimedia formats as needed.
• Collaborate closely with Account Management and Project Management to align projects with client objectives, timelines and deliverables.
• Integrate AI‑driven creative tools into brainstorming, design exploration and production workflows.
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail while managing multiple projects in a deadline‑driven environment.
• Participate in feedback sessions, creative reviews and collaborative brainstorming to refine concepts and optimise performance.

Required profile

• 1‑2+ years of experience in an agency or fast‑paced creative environment.
• Strong portfolio showcasing social‑first, performance‑focused campaigns across multiple platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); experience with Premiere Pro and After Effects is a plus.
• Solid understanding of digital design principles, branding, visual storytelling and creative strategy.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Highly organised with the ability to juggle multiple projects, deadlines and revisions.
• Curiosity about emerging technologies, including AI tools that support creative ideation and production.
