Freelance Concept Designer for Media Scenography & Immersive Experiences

About the role

We are seeking a freelance Concept Designer to shape creative concepts for media scenography, exhibition design, and immersive experiences. Working closely with the Creative Director and interdisciplinary teams, you will translate client goals and audience insights into compelling visual narratives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refine concepts from initial idea through to final presentation.
• Translate client objectives, messages, and audience insights into clear conceptual and scenographic frameworks.
• Create and guide storyboards, mood boards, and visual presentations to communicate ideas effectively.
• Ensure consistency of the concept across all visual elements, narratives, and communication channels.
• Collaborate with Creative Direction, Content, and Technical teams to align storytelling with feasibility.
• Act as the primary contact for clients on conceptual and content‑related topics, managing scope, timeline, and budget.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies and trends to continuously evolve creative approaches.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in concept development for media scenography, exhibition design, immersive media, or related creative fields.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, storytelling, and visual translation of ideas.
• Ability to develop clear narratives and turn complex content into engaging experiences.
• Experience creating and presenting storyboards, mood boards, and concept presentations.
• Good understanding of interdisciplinary workflows across creative, content, and technical teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborative mindset and experience working in international, cross‑functional teams.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
