Freelance Construction Manager – Data Centre Project (Berlin)

About the role

We are seeking a Freelance Construction Manager to lead the delivery of a large‑scale hyperscale data centre project in Berlin. The role involves overseeing daily site activities across multiple phases and ensuring the project meets schedule, quality and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily site operations for a multi‑phase data centre build.
• Coordinate subcontractors, trades and on‑site teams to maintain progress.
• Monitor schedule performance, produce progress reports and mitigate risks.
• Ensure quality assurance and compliance with German building regulations.
• Support procurement activities, cost control and change management processes.

Required profile

• Eligibility to work in the EU.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems and structural works.
• Proven experience managing large subcontractor packages.
• 7+ years of construction management experience (preferred).
• Background in data‑centre, industrial, pharma or other mission‑critical builds (desired).
