Freelance MEP Site Manager – Data Centre Project

About the role

We are looking for a Freelance MEP Site Manager to lead the mechanical, electrical and plumbing works on a flagship data‑centre construction in Berlin. The role involves on‑site coordination, safety oversight and delivery of high‑quality installations within tight programme deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day delivery of all MEP works on site.
• Manage and coordinate MEP subcontractors to ensure safe, on‑time, and specification‑compliant execution.
• Monitor installation progress against programme milestones.
• Coordinate interfaces between MEP, civil, structural and architectural teams.
• Conduct quality inspections and enforce project standards.
• Review and manage RAMS, permits and health & safety procedures.
• Identify and resolve technical and construction‑related issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an MEP Site Manager on large‑scale construction projects.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical distribution, UPS systems, generators, cooling systems, BMS and fire protection.
• Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and technical specifications.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English and German.
