Freelance Research Faculty – Business & Management

About the role

The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at BSBI Berlin seeks a freelance Research Faculty member to guide postgraduate students through their dissertation projects in business, management and related fields. This part‑time role supports academic excellence and contributes to the school’s research agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Provide mentorship and supervision for up to 130 postgraduate dissertations per academic year.
• Assist students in developing research proposals, selecting methodologies, and improving scholarly writing.
• Monitor project progress, give constructive feedback, and address ethical and regulatory considerations.
• Develop and implement research strategies aligned with BSBI’s goals, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Coordinate research initiatives across faculties and manage international collaborations such as Erasmus+.
• Represent BSBI at national and international research forums and produce regular progress reports.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business, Management or a related discipline from a recognised institution.
• Doctoral studies experience is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
• Familiarity with data modelling, analytics frameworks, and research philosophies.
