Freelance Software Engineer (Full Stack: Node.js, React, TypeScript)

About the role

Atmen, a Munich‑based RegTech startup, is looking for a freelance full‑stack software engineer to extend its SaaS platform with customer‑facing solutions and third‑party integrations. You will translate complex business requirements into reliable, scalable code while working closely with product, customer success and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain full‑stack applications using Node.js, React, TypeScript, NestJS and PostgreSQL.
• Build and support integrations with external RESTful APIs and other web services.
• Extend the core platform to satisfy customer‑specific business logic.
• Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to gather integration requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot integration issues across distributed systems and coordinate with third‑party vendors when needed.
• Write well‑tested, production‑ready code with a focus on performance, security and reliability.

Required profile

• Strong experience with TypeScript and modern JavaScript development.
• Professional background building backend services with Node.js and NestJS.
• Proven ability to create modern front‑end applications using React.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
