Freight Forwarding Clerk

About the role

We are seeking highly organized and customer‑focused Freight Forwarding Clerks to join our growing logistics team in Germany. The role involves coordinating national road freight transport, managing customer orders, and ensuring smooth communication between customers, carriers, and drivers.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and dispatch truck units for national long‑distance transport and allocate assignments to freight carriers.
• Receive, record, and process incoming customer transport orders, optimizing schedules for on‑time delivery.
• Act as the primary contact for customers, carriers, and drivers, providing updates and resolving operational issues.
• Monitor vehicle movements, track delivery performance, and ensure compliance with German driving‑hours and rest‑period regulations.
• Maintain accurate transport records, logs, and logistics documentation while collaborating with warehouse and transport teams.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience in freight forwarding, logistics, transport coordination or dispatch operations.
• German language proficiency (spoken and written) at least B1 level.
• High attention to detail, ability to work independently under pressure, and strong problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Strong computer skills, including MS Office.
• Experience with Logistics/Transport Management Systems (TMS).
